Poster Presentation Guideline for the 2nd Annual National Conference of the World Association for
Dynamic Psychiatry-India Chapter.
Call for Poster Submissions
The Organising Committee welcomes poster submissions that highlight psychotherapeutic approaches in clinical
practice, training, and research. This session offers a national platform to share innovations, reflective
clinical experiences, and evidence-based practices rooted in dynamic and integrative psychotherapeutic
traditions.
Submissions are encouraged from psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health professionals, trainees, and
researchers.
Posters may address one or more of the following areas, with psychotherapy as the central intervention,
delivered
either as a stand-alone treatment or in combination with pharmacotherapy.
Categories of Posters
Authors may submit under any one of the following categories:
- Clinical Case or Case Series
- Original Research / Service Evaluation
- Conceptual / Theoretical Paper
- Training, Supervision, or Programmatic Innovation
Abstract Submission Guidelines
- Word limit: Maximum 300 words (excluding title and author details)

Submission Process
- Abstracts must be submitted through the official conference submission portal.
- The presenting author must clearly be identified at the time of submission.
Authorship and Eligibility
The presenting author must be registered for the conference. Multiple submissions per presenting author are
permitted. For student or trainee submissions, a supervising faculty member must be listed as a co-author.
Review and Selection
- All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee based on:
- Relevance to psychotherapy and dynamic psychiatry
- Conceptual clarity and methodological soundness
- Clinical or educational value
- Ethical rigour
Best Poster Awards

The best poster will be selected by the scientific committee. Outstanding posters will be considered for
Best Poster Awards in Psychotherapeutic Approaches, based on scientific merit, clarity of presentation,
and relevance to clinical practice.
- Prize details: Best Poster presentation certificate with a memento with the name of the
presenter. The award is to be considered awarded to all authors.
Abstract Submission
WADP India Early Career Award
Guideline: Applicants should be early-career psychiatrists (age 45 or below or within 10
years of post-graduation) and Indian residents affiliated with a psychiatry teaching institution. They must
also have experience in psychotherapy training within India. Registration for the 2nd Annual National
Conference of the World Association for Dynamic Psychiatry India Chapter is mandatory for participation.
Application:
- A cover letter addressed to the organising committee expressing interest in attending the conference,
along with a brief CV.
- Nominee's letter: A self-nomination letter outlining your initiatives and innovations in psychotherapy
training, research, publications, and notable achievements (up to 800 words). Please attach relevant
supporting documents.
- Nomination Letter: A nomination letter from a senior psychiatrist affiliated with any National
Psychiatric Society of India, such as WADP India Chapter, IASP, or IPS (format attached).
- Please submit items 1 to 3 in a compressed zip file named with the applicant's name and send it to indiawadp@gmail.com.
Important date: Submission deadline is 30 March 2026.
NOMINATION LETTER
WADP India Early Career Award

residents
affiliated with a psychiatry teaching institution. They must also have experience in psychotherapy training
in India.
Registration for the 2nd Annual National Conference of the World Association for Dynamic Psychiatry India
Chapter is mandatory for participation.

Dynamic Psychiatry Case Presentation
A resident/early-mid career psychiatrist presents a longitudinal managed case with a primary focus on
dynamic-related therapies,
with or without pharmacological management. The conceptualisation and dynamic formulation will be presented
along with the management note.
Presentation time: 15 min
Discussion: 15 min
Among the selected cases for discussion, one will be chosen by the experts for its best understanding of the
case
and for implementation of a dynamic-oriented psychotherapeutic intervention.
The award recipient will receive a certificate, a memento and WADP-India Chapter membership without a
membership fee upon application,
proposed and seconded by WADP India Fellows.
IToP Scholarship To Attend Conference
Application guideline: Psychiatry Faculty and Senior Residents who are keen to attend the
conference can apply for the India Teachers of Psychiatry scholarship.
- 4 scholarships are available for the conference.
- Submission of a letter expressing keenness to attend the conference with a brief CV (along with a not
more than 800-word document, without the use of AI, on why scholarship should be offered and how they
will use the proceedings to enhance teaching and learning in their institutions).
- Bonafide Certificate indicating affiliation with current institution.
- Acknowledgement of Registration to Conference.
- All the above documents should be submitted as an e-copy (only), addressed to The Secretary, Minds

- Selected individuals will receive a cash prize and a certificate at the conference's Valedictory
